Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Software Dev Engineer for the Leo Customer Terminal Software team in Austin, TX. You will design, develop, and deploy embedded software for Project Leo devices, spanning requirements, design, code, test, and deployment.

You will work with Linux/RTOS, real-time embedded concepts, and a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality systems. The role requires leadership and mentorship experience and a strong background in C/C++, Rust, or Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one software language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for Customer Terminal devices within the Project Leo system.
• Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage.
• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, Python or other languages.
• Have experience with real-time embedded software philosophies and practices.
• Have expertise with Linux and/or RTOS.
