Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a System Development Engineer to architect and deliver software for testing, validation, and optimization of next‑gen hardware systems for Customer Terminals. The role blends embedded software with hardware integration and scalable production software, impacting devices shipped to customers worldwide.

You will design embedded software for new features, collaborate with hardware teams, and influence real-world performance of Leo devices.

Qualifications

Experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
Experience with Linux/Unix.
Experience programming with Python, C++, or C#.
Experience working with microcontrollers or embedded systems.
Preferred: CI/CD pipelines/build processes.
Preferred: hardware lab equipment such as digital scopes and logic analyzers.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, implement, and validate software solutions for onboard power management systems.
Design and develop close-loop control algorithms that leverage sensor peripherals, microcontrollers, and custom silicon.
Enable data-driven performance insights through automated test execution, collection, and analysis pipelines.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure every Leo device ships meeting requirements.
Define and execute software release processes, CI/CD, and quality verification.
Work hands-on with hardware test equipment and deliver clear documentation for engineering and manufacturing.
