Iridium is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer III to join our Mobile Product Software Engineering Team. You will design and sustain firmware for our transceivers, delivering high-quality software for mobile products and the engineering tools that support them.

Responsibilities include RTOS work, device drivers, UART/SPI/I2C interfaces, debugging firmware, and collaborating with software, hardware, and systems engineers to ensure robust product quality.

Qualifications

BS in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
5+ years of embedded software experience.
3+ years developing embedded software for microcontrollers.
Strong knowledge of ANSI C and data structures.
Experience with UART, SPI, I2C and RTOS.

Responsibilities

Design and sustain embedded firmware for microcontrollers.
Develop RTOS, device drivers, and communication protocols.
Debug firmware issues and reproduce complex hardware/software problems.
Collaborate with software, hardware, and system engineers.
Write unit, regression, and integration test suites.
