Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense Maritime is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer III to design and develop software for real-time embedded systems. You will code in C, debug, test, and troubleshoot across the full development lifecycle, working with other engineers and functional teams.

The role may involve building test software in C/C++, Python, and LabVIEW, plus creating build scripts and participating in design reviews. Travel to field tests may be required.

Qualifications

• BSCS or related field with 5+ years software experience.
• U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience with embedded software in C/C++ and low-level hardware.
• Experience with FreeRTOS and uC-OS II/III (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Develop software modules using C for real-time embedded systems.
• Develop test software modules using C, C++, Python, and LabVIEW.
• Develop build automation scripts using Python, Bash, and Windows batch files.
• Participate in software, electronics, and system design reviews.
• Provide input to bid and proposal activities and may train technicians.
