Job summary

Iridium is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and architecture of PNT software products and collaborate with technical leads to shape the product backlog.

You will decompose user stories, develop software, conduct unit testing, and perform integrations while applying advanced software development practices in an agile environment. The role requires strong communication and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years' experience developing software applications.
• 8+ years experience with Linux.
• 8+ years experience with C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with modern software architecture principles.
• Experience with unit testing.
• Familiarity with RTOS/bare-metal for embedded development.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of PNT software products.
• Define and maintain the product backlog with technical leads and SMEs.
• Decompose user stories into tasks and drive execution.
• Develop software, perform unit testing and integration activities.
• Ensure code quality and reliability through best practices.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and provide updates.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive development improvements.
• Collaborate in a dynamic team environment using agile methodologies.
• Contribute to developing software development processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve software design, development, and deployment.
• Deliver high-quality PNT solutions that meet system needs.
