Job summary
RTX is seeking an embedded software engineer for the Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department to deliver real-time capabilities for the warfighter. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure system integrity and secure software practices.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing C/C++ software on Linux/RTOS, collaborating with Systems and Hardware Engineering, and maintaining a robust codebase with CMake and Google Test while meeting DoD clearance
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience in Agile and DevSecOps for embedded software.
- Experience with Linux and embedded Linux development.
- Experience with C/C++, RTOS, Linux kernel, and device drivers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy real-time embedded software on target hardware.
- Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software with focus on system integrity.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Hardware Engineering to debug issues and ensure hardware/software compatibility.
- Participate in Technical Integration Meetings with subcontractors to verify hardware meets requirements.
