Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Security Engineer for its Tucson, AZ site to design, develop, test, and secure real-time missile software written in C/C++ on diverse embedded platforms. The role emphasizes security design, analysis, and collaboration with Systems Security Engineering and customer teams.

You will work in a high-velocity DoD environment requiring strong knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS, and cryptographic techniques, with eligibility for Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum of 5 years of software experience
• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with Xilinx MPSoC/Versal or similar embedded processors
• Experience with embedded OS like VxWorks or Embedded Linux
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Develop and review real-time missile software in C/C++
• Apply System Security principles to design and implement missile software applications
• Interface with Systems Security Engineering to define and verify requirements
• Work closely with customers to review technical design and support verification of system maturity
• Collaborate in a common development environment to enable capability reuse across programs
• Support integration, testing, and qualification on DoD platforms
