Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a firmware/software engineer to design and build complex automotive systems across multiple domains. You will shape hardware and software architectures for future vehicle generations and drive concepts from design through deployment in production environments.

The role requires a Master’s in CS/CE and hands-on experience with embedded firmware in C/C++, RTOS and Embedded Linux, ARM Cortex-M, sensors, and wireless connectivity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 2 years of experience as firmware/software engineer or related.
• Experience programming embedded firmware in C/C++ for RTOS and Embedded Linux with strict memory/power constraints.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complex systems spanning multiple domains for new vehicle access features and performance.
• Shape hardware and software architectures for upcoming vehicle generations.
• Take ideas through concept, design, execution, deployment and hardening in production environments.
• Collaborate with EE/Hardware, Infotainment, VUX, and charging teams across multiple domains.
