Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks an experienced Embedded RTOS Engineer to design and implement firmware for microcontrollers, BLE/NFC, and CAN/LIN interfaces. You will work across hardware and software teams to deliver robust automotive software solutions and mass-manufacturing readiness.

The role emphasizes embedded Linux development, Rust tooling, and secure, low-power system design, with cross-functional collaboration to advance vehicle access and security features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4+ years in software/embedded roles.
• Experience with LIN and NFC protocols; experience in CI/CD pipelines for embedded software.
• Troubleshooting mass-manufacturing processes for ECUs; end-to-end delivery of embedded components.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RTOS-based firmware for microcontrollers.
• Write low-level peripheral drivers and application logic.
• Develop software for BLE/NFC, CAN, and LIN communications.
• Oversee software-hardware integration for ECUs and mass manufacturing.
• Develop embedded Linux systems and cross-functional test setups.
