Job summary
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop embedded flight software for electric power distribution and conversion systems. You will work through the full software lifecycle, from requirements to certification, ensuring safety-critical software complies with DO-178B/C and Design Assurance Levels A–C.

Qualifications
- Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
- In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience across full life-cycle software development from requirements to testing and certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded flight software for electric power distribution and conversion systems.
- Perform timing, memory, and stack-usage analyses to meet DO-178B/C objectives.
- Support certification activities and audits (SOI, reviews) with cross-functional teams.
- Lead and participate in design, reviews, and multi-discipline research with hardware and software teams.
- Collaborate with distributed teams to ensure compliant software development practices.
