Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Aerospace

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop safety-critical software for aerospace applications. This role requires deep expertise in avionics systems, embedded C/C++ development, and compliance with DO-178C standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Create and implement embedded software for avionics systems in compliance with DO-178C standards.
- Specifications & Implementation: Develop detailed software design specifications from system and high-level requirements.
- Programming & Testing: Implement software components in Embedded C/C++, conduct unit testing, and perform static analysis.
- Integration: Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to define software interfaces for motor control drives and plan integration strategies.
- Verification & Certification: Support integration, debugging, and verification on target hardware. Prepare documentation for certification, including traceability, design, and test reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, peer inspections, and contribute to process improvements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with customer engineering teams to ensure project deliverables and milestones are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
- Experience: 6–8+ years in embedded software design and development for avionics or other safety-critical systems.
- Programming: Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and real-time software development.
- RTOS Expertise: Experience with RTOS such as VxWorks, including BSP, device drivers, IO layers, and HAL layers.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of DO-178C and DAL A/B/C development processes and life-cycle documentation.
- Aerospace Knowledge: Familiarity with MIL-STDs, ARINC 429, and AFDX protocols.
- Tools: Experience with DOORS, Integrity, and similar tools.
- Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of power electronics and motor controller drive software architecture.
