Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to contribute to mission-critical systems. You will design and implement embedded software in C/C++ and Python, drive high-quality solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead proposals, manage small software teams, translate customer needs into scalable systems, and monitor cost and schedule with risk awareness. A DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Embedded Development using object-oriented design.
• Experience with development tool sets, e.g., Jira, Subversion/Git/Version Management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive Embedded Software Engineering Excellence: expert proficiency in embedded C/C++ and Python throughout all phases of software development.
• Lead Technical Proposals and Program Cost Estimations: develop technical proposals and cost estimates for bids.
• Lead and Coordinate Software Execution for Small Teams: manage software execution for smaller teams with quality and schedule alignment.
• Translate Customer Requirements into Comprehensive Solutions: convert requirements into end-to-end system solutions.
• Manage Program Cost, Schedule, and Risk: estimate, track, and report cost, schedule, risk with EV management.
• Proactively Identify and Mitigate Risks: anticipate issues and implement risk mitigation.
