Job summary
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development of embedded flight software for electric power distribution and conversion systems. This role is responsible for the full software development life cycle, including requirements, architecture and design, implementation, integration, testing, verification, and certification support.
The engineer will also contribute to software reviews, certification activities, SOI audits, and technical analysis involving timing,
Qualifications
- Must have degree in STEM or advanced degree with relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present to leadership.
- Experience with software development processes and DO-178B/C context is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in full software life cycle from requirements to certification.
- Perform timing, memory, and stack usage analyses for safety-critical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and distributed sites.
- Develop and document control and diagnostic software components.
- Contribute to software reviews, audits, and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and company standards.
