Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Software Security Engineer to join the Software Security Sensors and Effectsors (S3E) team. The role focuses on real-time missile software design, C/C++ development, and security-first engineering for deployed systems.

You will collaborate with Systems Security Engineering, work on embedded platforms, and help ensure secure, reliable missile software. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 5+ years of software experience.
• Experience with C/C++ on embedded platforms.
• Experience with Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC or similar embedded processors.
• Experience with embedded OS like VxWorks or Embedded Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time missile software in C/C++ on multiple platforms.
• Apply security principles to missile software design and implementation.
• Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering to define and implement requirements.
• Interface with customer to review design and verify system maturity.
• Work in a common development environment to leverage capabilities.
