Job summary

RTX's Software Security Sensors and Effectors (S3E) Department seeks a Senior Software Security Engineer in Tucson, AZ. You will design, develop, and test real-time missile software with a focus on security, using C/C++ on multiple platforms, and collaborating with Systems Security Engineering to ensure program success.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of software experience.
• Proficient in C/C++ programming.
• Experience with embedded processors such as Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC or Versal.
• Experience with embedded OS like VxWorks or Embedded Linux.
• Ability to obtain and maintain interim Secret U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time missile software design, development, integration and testing.
• Apply system security principles to missile software applications.
• Develop software using C and C++ across various computing platforms.
• Understand real-time software design and performance implications for security implementations.
• Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering to define and implement requirements.
• Review and develop source-code-level solutions; understand the big picture of the missile system.
• Interface with the customer to review design and support verification of maturity.
• Work in a common development environment to leverage capabilities.
• Communicate with the customer community to review technical design.
