Job summary

RTX’s Software Security Sensors and Effects (S3E) team in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Software Security Engineer to design, develop, integrate and test real-time missile software using C/C++ in a security-focused environment.

You will collaborate with the Systems Security Engineering group, apply security principles, and participate in reviews and verifications across development stages. A Secret clearance is required for start.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 2 years of relevant software experience.
Experience with C/C++.
Experience working in Agile or similar development environment.
Experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl or similar.
The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Develop software applications using C and C++ on real-time missile software.
Apply System Security principles to design and implement missile software.
Interface with customer community to review design and support verification of system maturity.
Work with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements.
Operate in a common development environment to enable program capabilities.
