Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Sr Principal Embedded & Real Time Software Engineer to design, develop and test embedded real-time software for flight and mission-critical systems. On-site opportunities exist in San Diego, El Segundo or Palmdale, with a strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary collaboration and rigorous SDLC adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience with full SDLC for embedded and real-time software projects.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for RTOS-based apps used in flight or mission critical systems.
• Experience with multi-threaded software and real-time constraints in defense programs.
• Ability to work in Agile Scrum teams and collaborate across systems and hardware domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and test embedded real-time software for end-user customers.
• Define architecture and administer software across multiple baselines.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, DevSecOps, and Test teams in an Agile environment.
