Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Embedded & Real Time Software Engineer to join our Software organization. The role can be filled on site in San Diego or Palmdale, CA, with a Top Secret clearance and 10–12+ years in relevant engineering fields.

You will develop multi-threaded C/C++ software for flight-critical systems, participate in the full SDLC, and work in Agile Scrum teams across baselines. U.S. citizenship required with SAP/PAR eligibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of engineering experience; OR a Master’s with 10 years; OR a PhD with 8 years.
Experience with full SDLC for software development.
Proficient in C, C++, and Python.
Experience developing multi-threaded software for real-time applications (flight/mission critical).
Experience with two or more of the listed tools: Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, or Coverity.
Experience with Agile software development, embedded system programming, SW integration and testing.
Familiarity with data interfaces: 1553, 1394, 422, 429, CAN, Ethernet/IP, Fibre Channel.
Strong communication and collaboration across levels.
Active Top Secret clearance; SAP/PAR eligibility.
