Job summary

TEK Systems seeks an Sr. Hardware Engineer Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership in embedded product design, development, and support across the lifecycle.

You will lead hardware development, drive improvements, and ensure reliability, manufacturability, and compliance through development to production. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (required).
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• 3–7 years of experience in hardware design and development of embedded electronic products.
• Proven experience taking products from concept through production and sustaining engineering.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, supply chain, and field technical support.
• Experience working in cross-functional product development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design from concept through production, including circuit design and PCB reviews.
• Provide hands-on support for production, troubleshooting, and yield improvements.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain on component availability and cost reduction.
• Mentor engineering team members and ensure design controls and documentation compliance.
• Work with Firmware, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality and Operations to prioritize issues.
