Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a hands-on Sr Embedded Hardware & Firmware Engineer to lead the design and development of embedded electronic systems from concept through production. This role focuses on hardware ownership, including schematic design, PCB layout, and system bring-up, with supporting firmware development.

This is not a firmware-only role. You should have strong experience designing and building physical hardware, and collaborate with mechanical teams and manufacturing partners to

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded hardware design experience.
• PCB ownership including schematic capture and multi-layer layout.
• Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Power electronics or battery systems experience.
• Proven ability to bring hardware from concept through bring-up and production.
• Hands-on debugging in a lab environment with test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware systems from concept through production.
• Create schematics and perform multi-layer PCB layout.
• Develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits (sensor interfaces, power systems, high-speed signals).
• Own ECAD design using Altium, Cadence, or OrCAD.
• Board bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment.
