Job summary

Tektronix, a Tektronix subsidiary under Ralliant, seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Technical Lead) to steer architecture, design, validation and delivery of advanced test and measurement systems. You will mentor engineers across disciplines and collaborate with systems, FPGA, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver industry-leading instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing complex electronic hardware from architecture to production.
• Deep expertise in high-speed, analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design.
• Strong PCB design, signal integrity, power integrity, analog design, and hardware bring-up/debug.
• Experience designing RF, timebase, precision timing, or frequency-sensitive circuits.
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, DDR, PCIe or similar high-speed interfaces.
• Proficiency with lab characterization and debugging using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators.
• Experience scripting/automation in Python or MATLAB.
• Ability to lead through influence, mentor engineers, and align cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and validation of complex PCB-based hardware systems.
• Provide technical leadership and establish engineering best practices.
• Drive system-level electrical architecture for next-gen instrumentation platforms.
• Design high-speed, analog, mixed-signal, RF, and digital circuits with SI/PI focus.
• Develop and integrate RF, timebase and precision timing circuitry.
• Translate customer needs into innovative technical solutions for Tektronix products.
• Lead design reviews, architecture reviews, and DFx activities.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional technical alignment.
• Plan realistic technical plans and lead risk mitigation for delivery.
