Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Embedded Software Dev Engineer for the Leo Customer Terminal Software team in Redmond, WA. You will design, implement, and deploy embedded software across Project Leo devices, collaborating with hardware, product, and operations teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

Responsibilities include SDLC participation, cross-language development (C, C++, Rust, Python), real-time embedded practices, Linux/RTOS expertise, and hardware-troubleshooting techniques.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for Customer Terminal devices within the Project Leo system.
• Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage.
• Developing embedded software in C, C++, Rust, Python or other languages
• Have experience with real-time embedded software philosophies and practices
• Have expertise with Linux and/or RTOS
• Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software trouble‑shooting techniques.
