Job summary

RTX's Radar Digital Product Line in Fullerton, California, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build embedded C++ DSP software for tactical radar systems, across high-performance CPU/GPU platforms, in a 100% on-site role.

You will translate radar requirements into real-time software on embedded Linux, perform SWIT, troubleshoot defects, and mentor junior engineers while potential travel to radar sites is possible.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 5+ years in relevant software engineering.
• 5+ years in real-time DSP for radar or RF domains.
• Proficiency in C++ and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
• Strong radar signal processing knowledge (I/Q, FFTs, filtering) and numerical libraries.
• Experience with Linux development, DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, Jira, Git) and scripting for automation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded C++ DSP software for radar systems across CPU/GPU platforms.
• Translate radar requirements and mathematical models into real-time software in embedded Linux.
• Perform SWIT, troubleshoot defects using Jenkins logs and debugging tools, conduct root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, or Perl) for testing and integration tasks.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence technical planning and code reviews.
