Job summary

RTX's Radar Digital Product Line in Fullerton, CA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded C++ DSP software for radar systems, across CPU and GPU platforms.

You'll work with Scrum teams, translate requirements into real-time software in embedded Linux, and mentor junior engineers while engaging in potential site travel. A US citizenship and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in real-time DSP for radar or RF domains.
• Proficiency in C++ and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
• Experience with Linux development, DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, Jira, Git), and scripting (Python, Perl, or Bash).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Scrum teams to design, develop, and maintain embedded C++ DSP software for radar systems across high-performance CPU and GPU platforms.
• Translate complex radar requirements and models into real-time software within embedded Linux environments.
• Execute SWIT, troubleshoot defects using Jenkins logs and debugging tools, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, or Perl) for testing pipelines and system integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical planning, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
