Job summary

Technovative Applications in California is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design and optimize real-time radar software running on Linux-based hardware.

You will develop C/C++ code, Linux device drivers, and RTOS components, collaborate with RF/FPGA teams, and ensure deterministic timing under tight resource constraints.

The role is onsite five days a week and requires U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret-level clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of embedded software development.
• Expert-level C/C++ programming.
• Experience optimizing code for embedded real-time environments.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Willingness to work onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Optimize C/C++ code for performance, memory footprint, and deterministic real-time behavior on embedded hardware.
• Develop and optimize high-level algorithms for signal processing, data reduction, and control logic with real-time performance.
• Design and implement multi-threaded software for real-time data processing pipelines.
• Develop, debug, and maintain Linux device drivers supporting custom hardware interfaces.
• Design, implement, and test embedded software on RTOS or bare-metal for radar control and signal processing.
• Collaborate with RF, FPGA, and systems engineers to define software requirements and timing budgets.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle from requirements to validation.
• Debug timing-sensitive issues at the hardware/software boundary (interrupts, DMA, RT scheduling).
