Job summary

RTX at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support Identification Friend or Foe programs. The role focuses on C++ development in a real-time embedded, multithreaded environment within an agile team.

You will contribute to design, implementation, and verification while collaborating with subject matter experts. The position requires 5+ years in software engineering, experience with real-time embedded systems, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience in C++ in real-time embedded systems
• Understanding of configuration control and collaborative development
• Experience in data analysis and problem solving (e.g., anomaly investigation)
• Experience in DevSecOps
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US government security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required; STEM degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple software tasks in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Develop and maintain C++ code in embedded multithreaded environments
• Perform code reviews and uphold software engineering best practices
• Support integration, verification, and occasional field activities
• Provide guidance and coaching as needed to teammates
