The candidate will lead software tasks, collaborate with Systems Engineering, and participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver reliable vehicle software releases

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in a related software engineering role.
• Fire Control experience is required.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Java, C#, C++, C, and Python.
• Experience working with mixed operating system environments such as VxWorks, Linux, RTOS, virtualization, BSPs, and GVOS.
• Experience with serial and network protocols such as RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, and UDP/IP.
• Experience with DDS, Kafka, or other publish/subscribe middleware.
• Experience with Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) architectures.
• Experience with NGVA data models.
• Experience with UKGVA data models.
• Experience with ground combat vehicle network architecture.
• Experience with GCIA, MOSA, SOSA, or FACE.
• Experience with Agile processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and test software development environments for documentation, code, and test artifacts.
• Develop software documentation and code across vehicle domains including board support, displays, power management, lethality, software deployment, embedded training, and diagnostics.
• Perform software requirements analysis.
• Develop detailed software designs using approved tools and standards.
• Develop software designs that influence vehicle architecture.
• Develop code per department standards and procedures.
• Develop test procedures and perform unit and functional testing.
• Perform hardware/software integration.
• Debug software issues across testing phases.
• Provide status updates to software leads.
• Integrate software releases across CSCIs into vehicle software releases.
• Interface with Systems Engineering, Project Management, and other departments.
• Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies and demonstrations.
• Support continuous improvement processes and methodologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
