Rockingham County Health and Human Services seeks an Income Maintenance professional to determine eligibility for public assistance programs and to help clients complete applications. You will interview applicants, verify information, and coordinate with other agencies to provide essential services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with experience in public assistance programs.
• Experience with NC FAST/Medicaid preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and offices.

Responsabilités

• Processes applications for public assistance and explains program requirements.
• Interviews applicants to determine eligibility.
• Coordinates with inter-agency staff to provide services.
• Greets clients and handles inquiries in person, by phone, or email.
• Prepares reports and maintains files and logs.
• Identifies and presents at hearings; may testify in court as needed.
• Maintains data in computer systems.
• Assists with emergency shelter staffing per plan.
