Randolph County, NC is seeking an Income Maintenance Caseworker to manage the intake and processing of applications for federal and state Economic Service Programs, including FNS, Medicaid, CIP, and LIEAP. The role involves interviewing clients, entering data, and assessing eligibility across intake, processing, and review phases.

The position emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and effective communication to ensure eligible clients receive needed services.

Qualifications

One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science or closely related curriculum; or high school diploma with two years of paraprofessional/public contact experience.
Higher level of education or experience in income maintenance programs preferred.

Responsibilities

Interview clients and review information to obtain required data.
Enter information into a web-based application to complete initial applications and verify information.
Determine and verify eligibility using a web-based application.
Complete scheduled reviews by obtaining required information and updating records.
Explain requirements and options for obtaining services and advise clients accordingly.
Assist in intake, processing, and review phases of eligibility determination for Economic Service programs.
