Job summary

RTX / Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Electrical/Test Engineer to join the product test team. You will drive test yields, equipment reliability, and process improvements across the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
• Prior experience working in electronics manufacturing with product testing focus

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional team efforts to improve test yields, production throughput, test capacity, and overall product quality
• Identify component test failure trends and perform root cause analysis; prepare reports for production
• Study performance and reliability of existing test equipment and establish programs to decrease downtime
• Analyze test approach and processes for cost reduction, efficiency and yields
• Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for staffing and test equipment needs
• Support production readiness reviews to determine suitability of new designs for production
