Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a talented Senior Electrical Engineer for the Avionics Test Engineering team in Melbourne, FL. You will design, analyze, and validate hardware test solutions for a range of Collins products, with duties spanning from requirement analysis to documentation and test execution.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware/software debugging on multi-rack test stations, collaboration with manufacturing and service centers, and occasional domestic travel.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Design experience with circuit cards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements for hardware design and develop test solutions to meet those requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues with hardware designs.
• Review existing hardware drawings and create new hardware documents.
• Integrate a full test solution and verify test results are accurate, repeatable, and reliable.
• Manage configuration for hardware and all related documentation.
• 5-10% domestic travel as needed.
