Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks a Senior Electronics Engineer to design and integrate mixed-signal, analog, digital, RF, or power electronics in real-world lab environments. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary teams and may travel for field exercises and sponsor briefings.

The role requires a PhD in EE/CE (or MS with 3–5 years) and hands-on experience from requirements to test, with emphasis on high reliability, space-qualified components and PCB development.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (master’s +3–5 years considered).
  • Experience with mixed-signal, analog, digital, RF, or power circuits.
  • Experience with full PCB development lifecycle from requirements through testing and integration.
  • Experience using test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools such as PSpice, SimScape.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Background in high reliability systems e.g. space systems, flight, defense systems, etc.
  • Experience with PCB design/layout
  • Familiarity with radiation, screening and derating requirements for space-rated EE components
  • Ability to perform Worst‑Case Circuit or Derating Analyses for electronic design and troubleshooting
  • Experience leading small teams of technical contributors
