Saab, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics.

You will drive category strategies, evaluate suppliers, and manage spend while ensuring cost, delivery, and quality targets are met across North America and beyond. The role requires 8+ years of sourcing or SCM experience (6+ years with a Master’s), a strong electronics background, and the ability to interact with international Saab affiliates.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required in related field.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree in Sourcing or SCM.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts with new suppliers.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win-biz by vetting and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand current spend and supplier base.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics categories.
• Identify risks and opportunities with SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with international Saab Affiliates to plan near and long term needs.
• Create adaptable supply chains for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations and assess supplier capability and performance.
• Conduct spend analysis and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. diversity objectives and promote inclusive supply base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring systems for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
