Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a collaborative Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing activities for electronics across North America and internationally. You will develop category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reductions while ensuring quality and delivery goals.

The role requires strong financial acumen, an electronics background, and leadership skills. Travel up to 25% may be necessary to support global operations and supplier engagements.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management is required
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain
• Strong electronics technical background
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive continuous value improvement across Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation and Sustainability
• Lead identification, evaluation, negotiation and award of first-time contracts for new suppliers
• Manage approved supplier list for suppliers supporting electronics commodities
• Support supply chain during win business process by identifying, vetting, and onboarding critical suppliers
• Analyze data to understand existing supply base and commodity categories
• Perform market research, gather market intelligence, and analyze trends for electronics category
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities within electronics category via SWOT and risk assessments
• Partner with internal stakeholders to determine future needs and develop an adaptable supply chain
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and keep visibility
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers to manage performance
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base
• Collaborate to develop supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions
