Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and beyond.

You will develop category strategies, evaluate and award contracts, manage supplier performance, and drive cost reductions while collaborating with internal stakeholders and Saab Affiliates internationally. The role requires a strong electronics background, financial acumen, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management is required.
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability within the supply base.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award for first-time contracts across multiple business units.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support supply chain during win business by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives.
