Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a collaborative Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and beyond. You will develop category strategies to drive value and manage supplier relations, spend analyses, and risk assessments.

This role requires a strong electronics background, extensive sourcing experience, and leadership in cross-functional teams. Travel and security requirements may apply as Saab supports defense and security programs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management is required.
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation and award for new suppliers.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win-biz by identifying, vetting and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand the existing supply base and category trends.
• Conduct market research and analyze trends for electronics commodities.
• Identify risks and opportunities via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Saab affiliates to determine near/long-term needs.
