Job summary

ASML US, LLC in San Jose, CA seeks a Senior Mechanical/Electron Optics Design Engineer for an electron beam system. You will design, develop, test and analyze electron optics modules from concept to production, ensuring performance and manufacturability.

You will lead design reviews, perform simulations (thermal, vacuum, HV, dynamics, FEM), create system and module docs, and collaborate with vendors to mature components for high-quality mass production.

Responsibilities

• Design electron optics modules and sub-systems for e-beam inspection tools from concept to high-volume production.
• Create system- and module-level design documents, showing specs and interfaces per ASML process.
• Run simulations and calculations for thermal, vacuum, high voltage, dynamics and FEM analyses.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and experimental verification and validation activities.
• Collaborate with vendors to develop and fabricate components; troubleshoot fabrication issues.
• Integrate and test electron optic systems, verify designs for reliable implementation.
• Transfer designs to manufacturing with processing docs; support mass production transitions.
• Study new technologies and develop concepts for future electron optic modules.
