Job summary

ASML US, LLC in San Diego seeks a Senior Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to design and own precision metrology subsystems for EUV sources. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with suppliers, and drive performance through requirements, integration, testing, and verification in a fast-paced research environment.

The role combines optics, sensors, electronics, software, and controls to deliver automated, cleanroom‑compatible metrology solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience developing optical/metrology systems for precision hardware.
• Ownership of a major optical subsystem from design to verification.
• Hands-on optical alignment and laser system experience.
• Data analysis and visualization with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Translate needs into metrology requirements and verification plans.
• Lead development and integration of optical metrology systems.
• Plan laboratory and cleanroom testing for validation.
• Provide technical guidance across product development lifecycle.
• Document requirements, interfaces, analyses, and procedures.
