Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the building of high-precision control panels, wiring harnesses, and instrumented assemblies. You will design workflows, define SOPs, and coordinate internal and external fabrication to ensure first-pass quality.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, familiarity with Altium or ECAD tools, and experience with PLCs, HMIs, and ATE development.

Competenze

• US Person with 5+ years in engineering or manufacturing.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematics and interconnect docs.
• Hands-on experience with control panels, harness fabrication, and wiring routing.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, relays, and control regulators.

Mansioni

• Own the manufacturing process for low-volume, high-complexity control panels and wiring harnesses.
• Design and optimize assembly workflows for cabinets, backplanes, and instrumentation.
• Create build documentation: wire run lists, schedules, labeling schemes, and wiring instructions.
• Develop SOPs for cables, wires, winding leads, and harnesses.
• Lead wiring integration and routing between assemblies and other subsystems.
• Define and execute system-level ATPs and acceptance testing.
• Build and maintain test fixtures and automated test equipment (ATE).
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and QA for acceptable components.
