Job summary

Lyten, Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist, Electrolyte to lead development, optimization, and scale‑up of electrolyte chemistries for next‑gen Li–S and Li‑metal batteries.

You will drive SEI/CEI engineering, ion transport optimization, and translate bench formulations into scalable, high‑performance cells. You will collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to define robust specs, generate IP, and support manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in a battery topic or related field.
• MS in chemistry, materials science, or engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• BS in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience and equivalent expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrolyte formulations for Li–S and Li‑metal batteries to meet performance and safety targets.
• Establish composition–property–cell performance relationships using electrochemical and analytical techniques.
• Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to co-optimize cell components and design.
• Work with Supply Chain and Quality to define specifications and qualify new suppliers.
• Contribute to IP through high‑quality research and documentation.
