Job summary

Lyten, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer - Anode to lead development and optimization of metal anode formulations and composite architectures for high-capacity Li-metal systems.

You will work in a battery R&D environment to suppress dendrites, manage stack pressure, and enable scalable cell designs. You will test cells under inert glovebox conditions, analyze interfaces with SEM/XPS/XRD/EIS, and collaborate with process engineers to transition from lab to pilot-scale manufacturing, ensuring

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with 3+ years in battery field or BS with 5+ years in battery field.
• 3+ years of direct experience with metal anode systems, SEI design, or artificial interphase coatings.
• Proficiency with alloy/composite synthesis in glovebox and advanced diagnostics (EIS, GITT, CV, SEM, XPS, XRD).

Responsibilities

• Design, synthesize, and optimize metal anode formulations and architectures.
• Test coin cells and pouch cells under dry-room/inert-glovebox conditions.
• Evaluate plating/stripping, cycle life, rate, and impedance under various conditions.
• Characterize interfaces, SEI degradation, and failure Modes using SEM/XPS/XRD/EIS.
• Collaborate to scale promising lab formulations to production.
• Set QC parameters, material specs, and DFM for pilot manufacturing.
• Work with Electrolyte, Cathode, and Cell Design teams to optimize full-cell performance.
