Job summary

Lyten is seeking an Electrolyte Technician to prepare and QC advanced liquid electrolytes for Li-S battery development. You will collaborate with R&D scientists, maintain glove boxes and QC tools, and assist in post-test analyses from lab-scale to pilot cell fabrication.

The role requires hands-on electrolyte work, familiarity with electrochemical testing, and strong documentation in a fast-paced environment. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in Li-S or Li-ion battery materials development and testing.
• Hands-on electrolyte development and cell fabrication.
• Electrochemical testing methods experience (EIS, CV, GITT/PITT).
• Ability to work in glovebox and dry room environments.

Responsibilities

• Hand-mix a variety of liquid electrolytes in glove box following SOPs to support R&D and pilot cell fabrication.
• Run QC measurements on prepared electrolytes and maintain QC equipment.
• Support post-test cell disassembly for failure analysis and characterization.
• Maintain a lab notebook with clear, organized records.
• Manage inventory of chemicals and lab consumables.
• Schedule and perform regular glove box maintenance.
• Follow safety rules and LEAN/5S practices.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area.
