Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rocky Mount, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support and maintain electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment. The role emphasizes diagnosing complex issues, performing detailed setups, and ensuring machines run reliably.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent experience, 3–7 years of plant maintenance, and strong skills in PLCs, electrical controls, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 3–7 years' maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Adherence to safety policies and commitment to quality
• Available for standby, off-hours and emergency overtime
• Proficient with Word and Excel
• Willingness to attend training including out-of-state locations
• Ability to read prints, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and maintain mechanical components to keep equipment in top condition
• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits and PLC I/O
• Repair pneumatic systems and components
• Enter all work completed in the maintenance program
• Complete projects adding electrical circuits and controls, new equipment, and relocation
• Monitor spare parts usage and manage ordering
• Adjust equipment based on SPC data with QA
• Train Level I and II technicians on complex tasks
