Job summary

bioMérieux in Cary, NC seeks a Maintenance Technician 3 to ensure reliable operation of high-speed manufacturing equipment. This role demands advanced troubleshooting, independent repair, and mentorship of junior technicians.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, contribute to root-cause analysis, and participate in continuous improvement projects while ensuring compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience with intermediate to advanced-level troubleshooting, schematic and print reading, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on sophisticated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems independently.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis efforts to prevent recurring equipment issues.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to entry-level technicians.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FDA regulations, GMP, ISO standards, and safety protocols.
• Utilize and maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
