bioMérieux in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Maintenance Technician 3 to ensure optimal performance of complex manufacturing equipment in a 24/7 operation. This role emphasizes advanced troubleshooting, autonomy, and mentoring of junior staff.

The incumbent will lead preventive and corrective maintenance on high-speed automated systems, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement while adhering to FDA, GMP, and ISO standards. Strong PLC/electrical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of related electro-mechanical maintenance experience with troubleshooting, schematic reading, and controls experience.
• Preferred experience in electro-mechanical, high-speed manufacturing maintenance, and repairing systems.
• Experience in cGMP/Regulated environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on sophisticated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems independently.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment issues.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to entry-level technicians.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with FDA, GMP, ISO standards, and safety protocols.
• Utilize and maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
