BioMérieux seeks a Maintenance Technician 3 at its Durham, NC facility. The role emphasizes advanced troubleshooting and complex repairs to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment, with mentoring responsibilities for junior technicians.

You will engage in continuous improvement and document maintenance in a CMMS system. Minimum 3+ years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED are required; an Associate’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read schematics and prints and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls systems.
• Experience in a cGMP/regulated environment is desirable.
• Willingness to mentor entry-level technicians and participate in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on sophisticated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems independently.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment issues.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to entry-level technicians.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with FDA, GMP, ISO standards and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
