Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Electrification Controls System Senior Engineer in Illinois to contribute to concept, development, and design of complex electronic control systems for our electrification product line.
You will analyze requirements, perform testing, and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable power solutions. This on-site role offers a competitive pay range and relocation support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum.
- Experience with authoring Software Requirement Specifications.
- Experience with datalinks including J1939 and Ethernet.
- Experience with software development and coordinating with process partners.
- Proficiency with MATLAB modeling software.
- Experience delivering software from requirements through validation.
Responsibilities
- Perform requirements analysis and decomposition.
- Conduct Failure Mode Effects Analysis.
- Design and promote new control systems and sub processes.
- Perform network analysis and evaluate engineering data.
- Communicate technical information to customers and team members; support managers, marketing personnel and suppliers.
