Caterpillar is seeking a Control Systems Engineering Specialist in Mossville, IL, to lead electrification subsystem controls and software activities. The role covers planning, release, and cross-functional execution across engineering teams.

You will develop and validate embedded control solutions for motors, generators, and DC/DC converters, with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery performance. onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Engineering, CS or related field.
• Experience in embedded systems.
• Knowledge of electric drive systems.
• Experience in controls or software development.
• Matlab/Simulink experience.
• C programming language experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead L3 electrification subsystem control programs for motors, generators, and DC/DC converters.
• Manage release content, schedules, budgets, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across controls, software, systems, components, product groups, validation, and program teams.
• Develop, review, and support release of controls and/or software content for electrification applications.
• Identify and manage program risks, technical issues, resource needs, and tradeoffs to maintain delivery commitments.
• Provide technical guidance and decision support to ensure subsystem controls and software meet performance, quality, safety, and reliability expectations.
• Develop controls or software for the programs that are being executed.
