AbbVie is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III (Plumber/Pipefitter) in Illinois. The role involves senior-level technical support in maintenance, training of others, and ensuring asset reliability.

This is a 1st shift position, 8 hours per day, with a strong emphasis on safety, GMP compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates hold a plumbing license, CMRT or equivalent accreditation, and 3+ years of related experience; higher credentials or a 4- or 5-year degree

Qualifications

HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or relevant certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. experience.
CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired.
Plumbing license is required or preferred.
Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools).

Capable of training others on tasks.

Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).
Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks.
Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations.
