Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Maintenance Technician III (Instrumentation Repair Tech) in North Chicago, IL. This full-time role supports the maintenance department with senior-level tasks and training for junior Technicians.

The shift is 6am-2:30pm, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $27–$48.80 per hour. Responsibilities include adherence to the code of conduct, asset reliability, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration on maintenance and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ years experience or relevant certificate with 5+ years experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ years experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools) and MS Windows familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to AbbVie's code of conduct.
• Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis.
• Capable of training others on tasks.
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans.
• Supports cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
• Assists in safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and site.
